Do you have Lomo LC-A + and want to put on more accessories in addition to the Splitzer and wide-angle lens? I'll show you how you can easily attach a lens ring to your camera so you can use other different camera lenses.
As much as I like my LC-A +, I always admired photographers who had several different lenses that can be attached to one camera. So I came up with the idea to tinker about and create a holder that i can use with different attachments.
With the help of a friend, I wanted to create a tower similar to the Splitzer that can be fixed to the LC-A +.
First, we created the following diagram:
We used the following materials:
- a small piece of a wooden board
- a lens ring, which should have the desired diameter of your lens
- saw/sharp knife
From the wooden plate we cut out a total of 4 parts. Two longer parts to which the lens ring is glued, and two smaller, which are stuck to the back of the longer pieces. The smaller pieces are pushed into the slots of the camera, it’s also where the Splitzer is eased in. Take note, you have to hone the wood panel with a file if it is too thick for the slots in the camera. And then, we glued everything together.
Then we let it dry and plugged it into the camera.
Lastly, we put our desired lens. I got myself a Lensbaby set that has two macro lenses: a wide angle and a telephoto lens. At the end my camera looked like this:
I can hardly wait to experiment and shoot with it!
