Newcomer of the Week: Jangeisen

It's quite unusual for someone to fall in love with pinhole photography at first hand. Most of the time, it is acquired taste that lets film photographers dive into the wonderful world of lensless cameras.

But this Lomographer from Germany saw and instantly gave in to this art. He was inspired and definite about his liking for pinhole photography in general. Eventually, he discovered our Community and decided to be further moved and very well share his work for everyone here to see! Let’s welcome jangeisen, this week’s newcomer!

Please tell us a little something about yourself.

[I am] living in Bremen, working hard. I was looking for some diversity for my we(e)akends and came along a photographer named Günter Derleth; he took pinhole shots of Venice. So I thought about giving it a try, doing something very analogue.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

I took some pictures, saw a competition, and took the chance to get to know other people that are trying out an analogue lifestyle in their spare times.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

Don’t think. (William Firebrace)

In this digital age, why still film?

Because I do not let the computer, TV, Playstation, or any other else control your sparetime.

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

Meeting people.

Your favorite analogue camera as of the moment? Why?

My Pinholes, because they are all really manufactured (by myself.)

Kind of a Lomo-LC-Series thingy. (LC-A, LC-A+, LC-Wide!)

    if I only knew you put my answers straight to the site, I would have spent much more time in checking the spelling and the accuracy of the sentences, anyway all together my answers can be understood using some fantasy...
