Last week, we had an unexpected call-out for the LC-Wide Race. It was a big surprise but it was also a new light for this worldwide competition of ours!
It’s a big responsibility to fill in lakandula's place but we are just glad that Lomographers still have the zest to continue, race, and cooperate!
So ladies and gentlemen, let us say hello to our newest LC-Wide Racer for Team Asia (also a LomoGuru and a fine member of this Community,) Andaru Bebop Waskito or bebopbebop from Bandung, Indonesia!
When asked why he should be an LC-Wide Racer, Bebop proudly answered, "LC-Wide is my first premium camera which I bought with struggle. It makes me eager to explore the maximum potential of the camera. I see my LC-Wide as a sketchbook that I bring everywhere to fulfill my imagination. I know I can’t perfectly replace Lakandula as he is a great Lomographer but still I will be representing Team Asia with pride and I will try my best to fill the big hole that Lakandula left.
Sounds really great, right? More things to look forward to, indeed. Thanks, Bebop! :)

Kevin Meredith, more popularly known as LomoKev, is a photographer based in Brighton, England who gained notoriety for his use of the Lomo LC-A and his lomographic style of creating images. Aside from a plethora of personal and commercial projects, he has also conducted workshops on photography, written and published photography-related books, and participated in a few exhibits. With his evident passion for photography, it comes as no surprise that he was selected to test a prototype of the New Petzval 58 Bokeh Control Art Lens.
In case you missed it, Lomography has just unveiled the latest member of its Art Lens family: the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens, which boasts of the same optics that the legendary LC-A camera has and brings the classic Lomographic style not only to analog but also to the digital platform. Over the next few days we'll be sharing with you the first impressions of and photographs taken by members of the Lomography team, who had gone out and put the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 to the test. First up is graphic designer Andrea Cislaghi, who coupled this lens with the Bessa R2 and Sony Alpha 7.
Last week, I received the strangest thing through my letterbox. It was a postcard with this photograph on 1 side. The photo is of me sitting by the sea whilst I was on vacation last year. But I have literally no idea who took this shot – That’s why I came here, to ask for your help on my search for my mysterious photographer and to try and get to bottom of the riddle they wrote me. Please help me if you can!
My friends and I teamed up with Photo Art Pro to spread analog love to the Zaporozhye community. Last month, we hosted a Yeti Scavenger Hunt and had a LomoKino camera as prize. We challenged participants to shoot a roll of film based on a checklist. It was tremendous fun!
Are you ready for an adrenaline rush? A little while ago, we teamed up with the snowboard and film-making collective Yougofirst and gave them a LomoKino and some film rolls to play with. After a season of crazy riding, jumps and tricks, they have finished their latest movie HETEROTOPIA which features footage shot with our 35mm movie-maker. We had the chance to catch up with Vid and Matic from the collective about the new movie and their experiences shooting analogue on the slopes. It's also our pleasure to showcase the movie here!
By going on a photo walk waggrad00 was not only able to de-stress, she also had the chance to meet several interesting people along the way. One of them was this homeless fellow who made her as well as many others' day better with a small but thoughtful gesture.
You know that place you always picture in your head when you think of your dream holiday destination? That was Machu Picchu for me. Last May I decided to go for it and embarked on a two-and-a-half-week trip around Peru with my boyfriend.
This article is dedicated to one of the most important masters of photography, Robert Capa. Capa is well known for his photos of war, from the famous image of the Republican Spanish soldier collapsing backwards after being fatally shot to his images taken in Indochina. He was also a co-founder of the famous Magnum Photo Agency, the first cooperative agency for freelance photographers worldwide. For this article, I took advantage of a rare event held in my city, Como, some weeks ago: a military drill for civil protection purposes.
