Oceanário de Lisboa had opened in 1998 in the Expo’98 and nowadays is one of the most famous places to visit in Lisbon. It is a special aquarium, where a lot of animal live together in the central Fish Tank.
In 1998 had happened in Portugal the Expo’98, the XXth Century’s last World Fair with the thematic "The Oceans, a Heritage for the Future”. A lot of new buildings had been built for that exhibition but the Oceanário, was one of the main ones during that period it was known as the “Ocean’s Pavillion”. Nowadays it works as a public aquarium, where different oceanic environments are present. Is a really impressive place to visit due to the big areas and with amazing animals, specially the central fish tank. The most famous animals there are a couple Otters (Lontra) called Amália e Euésbio as the most famous Portuguese fado singer and footballer of all time.
If you’re thinking on taking really nice photos using your good color splash flash or the powerful ring flahs, forget it, only photos without flash are allowed as you imagine. The animals are really sensible to light and noise. But even with this really logic rule it’s always a good opportunity to take some photos.

Capa is well known for his photos of war, from the famous image of the Republican Spanish soldier collapsing backwards after being fatally shot to his images taken in Indochina. He was also a co-founder of the famous Magnum Photo Agency, the first cooperative agency for freelance photographers worldwide. For this article, I took advantage of a rare event held in my city, Como, some weeks ago: a military drill for civil protection purposes.
