On the occasion of our pre-wedding photo shoot, we took our Lubitel 166+ for a walk. It was amazing to be able to use it during such an incredible occasion. Read on to know more about the photo shoot and this amazing camera.
It was a beautiful sunny day and a perfect location in the Santa Pola Salt Flats in Alicante. It included great atmosphere and the Lubitel 166+… what else? It was such a relaxing moment that I felt the need to take some pics in order to have more memories of such a fantastic day.
Here I share with you some of the photos I took that day.
I loaded it with a Kodak Portra 160 NC with which I got very defined results thanks to its fine and sharp grain along with colours that pleasantly surprised me. Take into account that this is a 160 ISO film, so with this camera you will have to set either a higher or lower ISO.
As you all know, and for those who don’t know it yet, the Lubitel 166+ can shoot with both 120 mm and 35 mm films, thanks to the Lubikin that comes with it. That must be set before loading the film. It also comes with a massively improved viewfinder, zone focusing and a standard hot-shoe. This is a camera that doesn’t leave anyone indifferent.
Here you have some of its features in case you want to know more about the ==Lubitel 166+==":
Aperture: from f/4.5 to f/22
Flash connection: hot-shoe
Focusing: Ground Glass Focusing
Focal length: 0.8m – Inf.
Frame counter: Auto Frame Counter
Tripod Mount: Yes
Viewfinder: Twin-lens reflex viewfinder
Cable Release Connection: Yes
Now I have to wait for the digital results. Cheers!

About two years ago or so, I purchased the Lomography Redscale XR 50-200. I saved just one roll of this film and waited for the right moment to shoot with it. In April this year, I just wasn't able to take it anymore! I loaded this film into my Lubitel 166+, which I realized I hadn't used for maybe about six months. One idea came to mind: taking crazy multiple exposures!

Lomography's Optics Head Cat Ong shot moving lights, shadows and distant views to test the optic capacities of the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens 2.8/32M. Though drawn to precise zone focusing and aperture values, he tried to be more intuitive while walking around town with the Minitar-1 Art Lens. He took incredibly detailed photos under the Hong Kong sun and through the haze of Vienna.
