A lot of my happiness comes from the people around me -- and this one is a bit special. Last month, my sister visited me in London, all the way from New Zealand!
A few weeks ago sister made the long trip over from New Zealand. It was the first time that I have seen anyone from my family for over a year, so it was very exciting. It was also her birthday, so as a present, I got her her first analogue camera: a La Sardina Camera and Flash - Grand Cru.
While she was here I wanted to get as many photos of her as possible. We had a great time, mostly just hanging around and being silly like we used to. My sister always makes me smile, and these photos of her definitely made me giggle when I got them back from the lab! Here are a few that make me really happy.
Out and about being tourists
Enjoying the summer
It makes me glad that I captured some of our time on film, especially the silly bits. And the great thing about waiting for your film to come back from the lab is that two weeks after she had left, I got all these moments back again as prints! That’s what has made me happy this month, and I think that having these pictures is going to make me happy for a long time afterwards too. Hooray for family and silly pictures!

Join me as I test out this super medium format beauty.

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. In January, I tried some camera add-ons. If you want to add a bit of extra bling to your pictures, you can put something either in front of or behind your lens. In this case, I did both.
Brazil is an awesome country for traveling. There's so much to explore, each place very different from one another. It will definitely take a stretch of trips just to get to know this this South American pearl. I finished my copa tour last year in Marajó, the island of bulls—it just might be an eternal highlight for me.
