Summer Hot Spots: Bahía de Cata, Venezuela

Maracay is my hometown, and since I was a little girl there's a landscape there that has always been my partner... the sight of Bahía de Cata.

Cata is a bay located in the Ocumare de la Costa department belonging to the Aragua state. From Maracay to Ocumare, it takes about an hour and a half, maybe two full hours to arrive, then about 20 minutes more and… you see it!

My favorite sight!

As I said before, you have to get to this beautiful little town called Ocumare first — of course, it has its Plaza Bolí’vevar and its principal church, but my favorite feature when I get here is… the colours!

When you get to the beach, there are a lot of things you can do — first of them, of course, is taking pictures! Especially if you get there very early!

Secondly, if you get there too early, it might mean you didn’t sleep well… so, why not take a nap under the sun? Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Thirdly, enjoy your beach day as much as you can!
