My favorite holidays are those in which I can live outdoors! For this reason I choose preferably between two options: a bicycle tour or to stay in a camping. This year, for my July holidays, I chose camping by a beautiful seaside pine forest located in South of Italy. Just watch!
If there’s one thing I love about a camping holiday, it’s the great freedom that I can have. I can walk, take a lunch or a dinner, or sit at the bar wearing only a swimsuit, without having to change my clothes many times a day, as usually required in hotels!
For this summer, I chose to spend ten days in a camping site surrounded by a thick pine woods, located at the beginning of the Campania region, near the border with Lazio, in the town of Baia Domizia.
This campsite has very large places to host motorhomes, caravans and tents; inside you can also find many mobile homes and bungalows. Two years ago, I choose a large bungalow!
In the picture above, you can see the spacious veranda of my apartment, with two bedrooms, a lounge with a kitchen and a bathroom.
The camping has four swimming pools, including one with a Jacuzzi and one for swimmers (the rectangular one) of 25 meters length. I love to swim, so every morning I spent most of my hours in the pool, alternating swimming and yoga.
Everyday, shortly before noon, I spend an hour at the beach of the campsite (very large and never crowded), to sunbathe and to enjoy the gentle sea breeze.
In the company of my LC-Wide loaded with a slide Agfa CT Precisa 100 (cross processed), I took some photos of life at the beach, as some nice street vendors and other activities organized by the animators, such as a darts tournament!
This is a pretty hot and muggy summer, due to the presence of some African anticyclones. For this reason the soccer, basketball and beach volley fields were almost always deserted. People preferred to stay at the beach or in the swimming pool, or take a walk in the pine woods!
Even the solarium, hot and sunny, was used little!
After an afternoon at the beach, in the evening I went to the center of the camp, where there is a bar, an ice cream shop and a supermarket. Here I bought my supplies of food and water, always after have tasted a good ice cream! This area is decorated with lovely plants, flowers and small lakes where goldfish and turtles swim.
After dinner, village life was concentrated again near the sea, where there’s a large space with an outdoor bar, the animators set up some fun little show. However, I preferred to spend the rest of the evening walking through the fresh and quiet pine trees!
