Singapore Cafe-Concepts: Penny University

Penny University is a term that originated from 18th century coffeehouses in London, England.

For the price of a penny, one had access to coffee, the company of people from all levels of society, discussions, bulletins, newspapers and the latest gossip.

Penny University is an artisanal cafe born out of a love of coffee discovered in London. They source their beans from local roasters, serve specialist cakes and bread freshly baked daily in the area, support and collaborate with local bakers and aim to be a haven for people of the East Coast and beyond. Besides, they serve all-day breakfast, a rotating selection of fresh pastries and cakes, and great coffee using their favourite local blends.

    Changing Seasons: Durham in Autumn

Durham is a beautiful but tiny university city in the north of England famous for its amazing cathedral, which is one of Britain's best loved buildings. When I was studying at the university, I loved to go for crisp, autumnal walks around the cathedral and the river, kicking the leaves and basking in the golden glow of the season. The Lomography Redscale film perfectly captures the beauty of this time of year.
