History repeats itself decades later as Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, also steps out in a polka dot dress after giving birth to the Royal Baby, Prince George of Cambridge.
On June 21, 1982, William Arthur Philip Louis was born to Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. Princess Di was wearing a green polka dot dress upon leaving St. Mary’s Hospital, London when she and Prince Charles presented Prince William to the world.
Thirty-one years later and on July 22, the Duke of Cambridge, second in line to the British throne, watches as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, introduces their son, George Alexander Louis, in a similar blue polka dot dress. Prince George of Cambridge is now third in line to succeed Queen Elizabeth II.
Living up to the hype of Diana certainly puts a lot of pressure on Kate Middleton but we think she’s taking it all in stride and with grace. Congratulations to the royal family!
