Join us for an evening with NYC-based fashion photographer Emily Soto. Concurrent with her exhibition at our Gallery Store, "Petzval Portrats: Bloom," Emily will discuss her work and experience using the New Petzval Art Lens in her work. Gather insight into the creative process of one of New York's favorite photographers. This event will take place on July 9 at 6:00 p.m.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
Photography is not only an act of documentation or communication, it is also a way of seeing the world. The camera opens our eyes and lets us see what lies behind the obvious, and we start looking at things as potential subjects of a photograph. Every leak of light unveils secrets that talented photographers turn into a piece of art. Li Hui is one of those gifted artists. We talked to her about her work and her sensitive photographs that picture a wonderful vulnerability.
Turn ordinary scenes into cinematic moments with the new Lomography Cine400 Tungsten Film. Made from authentic cine material that we specially treated for use with 35mm cameras, this Color Negative film will produce photos that look like stills from a movie.
Some months ago the wonderful city of Matera, chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2019, hosted an exhibit featuring the works of an important Italian social photographer: Pepi Merisio, who had also donated all photos shown to the local public library. To pay homage to this great artist, I have selected a series of photos that I took in this place last summer. Take a look!
Anna Fischer calls herself a beauty documentary photographer. Her backstage photos of last year's New York Fashion Week revealed the glitz and glamour of such high fashion events. Her personal work, however, is more intimate, as seen is this series of photos taken with the new Petzvl 58 Bokeh Control Art Lens.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
Photography has been described as a time-stopping device, something that “freezes” an action. This moment on-pause is the most salient; all conversation about the picture will tend to pin down the beauty of that second. Celeste Ortiz’s photos make us think of something else. A sense of continuation.
