The Lomography Gallery Store Berlin was the place to be on January 20th and 21st. After an exhausting day at the Bread&Butter, people met at Friedrichstraße for some tasty Currywurst.
After an exhausting day at the Bread&Butter it is time for some nice parties! That’s what we all thought and therefore we had a Happy Hour Party at the Lomography Gallery Store. We invited Olli from Curry-Catering Berlin and many party people that couldn’t resist a good tasty Currywurst.
No fair without a party! So at January 20th and 21st the Lomography Gallery Store Berlin was the place to be. From 6 to 9pm (or 10pm… we didn’t mind) we offered fresh Currywurst, ice-cold beer and a good Russian Vodka. This was the start to a long party night.
DJ Heimlich Knüller was responsible for the music and he played old records from Hildegard Knef or Reinhard May. This was really an analogue party! Most of the people didn’t want to leave the store after the party was actually over…we could have danced all night.
I have to admit that I’ve never liked using flash in public places. In some situations it can be distracting. Like concerts, for example. Can you imagine a live music show where people decide all of a sudden to use it at the same time?
Film Photography Day 2015 is nearly here and we’ve got loads of raucous parties planned around the world at our Lomography Gallery and Embassy Stores! Everything you can imagine and in the most analogue way possible — live unplugged music, vinyl DJs, in-store raffles, analogue flea markets, scavenger hunts, workshops, panels of photographers, instant photo-booths, competitions and loads more!
The 2015 UEFA Champions League Final will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on June 6. It is a place full of history and is also the only football stadium with a blue track course. Some say it is the most beautiful stadium in the world, and I totally agree with them. But then agai,n I might be biased because it is the home court of my favorite team, Hertha BSC Berlin—my blue-white bloodline.
Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.
They say there’s a first time for everything and with the Lomo’Instant Wide, that couldn’t be more accurate. This October, Cambridge and London-based visual artist and writer Katherine April conducts a photographic installation project at the Cambridge City Center that puts herself out there, quite literally.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
The beauty of instant cameras is that they let your spontaneous side truly run wild, and the Lomo'Instant Wide gives you just the opportunity to experiment with all sorts of shooting methods on the fly!
