From Indonesia & Malaysia, we bring you two different views of our countries. Check out how cinzinc & ripsta's final collaboration of 2009 went!
Just when I thought that the end of 2009 would leave me shooting my holidays, collaboration knocks on my door. Ripsta was gradually appearing on my Lomohome as well as my Facebook, and I just knew it would lead to a “doubles”. And of course, how could I refuse it? At the closing months of 2009, we all noticed Ripsta’s multiple, if not, consecutive wins at Lomography’s competitions. On the other hand, I won 1, no shame taken. LOL.
Ripsta documented his life with fellow lomographers, as well as himself just doing what he does. I was lucky enough to be outside of the city so that I can show something different in the photos, but of course I took photos of some daily routines in my life. For more of both the color and black and white sets, just check out our lomohome. We hope you enjoy our doubles; we’re sure there’s something to like from our album. By the way, this is just the first part of our doubles, Ripsta will be sending me the next films to wrap up this film swap, so keep an eye on our Lomohomes!
Jonesing for more of those sweet Lomo'Instant Hyperlapse videos? Thankfully, we've got another great video ready for your viewing pleasure! This time we have a fantastic collection of Hyperlapses from our Lomo teams around the world. Check it out!
Juno Chen is a student and photography enthusiast from California who captured stunning views of HongKong recently. Check out our interview with Juno and his amazing Petzval night shots after the jump.
With the 68th Cannes Film Festival kicking off today we thought we'd hold our very own film screening right here featuring, in no particular order, some of the best, well-crafted LomoKino videos by our fellow lomographers in the community. From documentary-like shorts to horror, comedy, romance, action, the surreal, and everything in between, we've got you covered. Bring out the popcorn!
How do you bring a fresh perspective to a landscape that has been photographed from every possible angle? Using a brand-new film, of course! With this goal in mind, I loaded some LomoChrome Turquoise XR into my Nikon 35Ti and went on a major trip across southern Utah and northern Arizona.
We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to share with you the work of Olivia and Alicia of MGMT Design. MGMT Design is a graphic design studio based in Brooklyn. The studio handles quirky data visualization projects from different methods of time travel and how to kill a wild pig.
Lomographers, fans of electronic music and art, this is the competition for you!
We are very happy to launch this competition with Alfa MiTo Club To Club, one of the most important festivals of music, art and culture electronics in Europe, which will take place in Turin, Italy, from 5th to 9th November 2014. Find out how to win two tickets, lots of music and Lomography cameras!
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
The goat can see up to 340°. Lucky him! Thank goodness we have the Horizon camera to catch excellent views our own average eyes could never see. Check out the crème de la crème of panoramic vision here!
Musician and record producer Dustin Tebbutt left sunny Australia and relocated to Sweden for two years. This experience had a significant influence on his musical style, resulting a delicious blend folk and indie-pop. Armed with the Fisheye no. 2, our newest LomAmigo went on a city trip and captured his moments on film. Check out his gallery along with his interview.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
They may be miles apart but it didn't stop these two lomographers from exchanging creative ideas and film rolls! Have look at this fiery film swap in this edition of Doubles With You.
Direct from Denmark, we bring you our latest LomoAmigo MØ ! or Karen Marie Ørsted. She is a talented Danish singer-songwriter whom we invited to shoot with the Diana F+ on her last concert tour in Canada .
At the end of March this year, my friends and I went to Bromo in East Java. We went from Jakarta to Yogyakarta for one day before heading to Mt. Bromo. We decided to take photos of everything there with our analog cameras.
