I wonder if the crew gets to eat the end product after every show? If that’s the case, then where do I sign up?
Julia Child was an American chef, author and TV personality known for her 1961 cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking (which she co-authored with Simone Beck and Louisette Bertholle), and her many cooking-based television programs such as the widely-successful The French Chef in 1963.
Thanks to her cheery demeanor and her charmingly enthusiastic approach to cooking, Child had a large following and broadcast audience in her television shows. In fact, The French Chef ran for ten years on national television, and won multiple Peabody and Emmy Awards.
Although, judging from the photo, it seems quite unusual to see people hiding behind the counters, eh? But perhaps, they’re only there to hand her things and to make things more efficient to avoid multiple takes (and thus save film). What do you guys think?
