As the iconic LC-A celebrates its 30th birthday this month, we think it's only timely that we look back to Lomography's roots and shine the spotlight on the camera's birthplace, Saint Petersburg. If you haven't been there yourself, or if you have and simply wanted to be reminded of the beauty of the place, we've compiled a few select lomographs taken using no less than the LC-A by our community members!
We all have our own special place where we can sit for hours and marvel at wonderful things. If this spot is avola's, we are not going to be surprised! This perfectly framed and well-balanced landscape photograph is our Photo of the Day!
The people we meet and the places we go to are essential ingredients to making our most treasured memories. To preserve those memories, however, we need a little help from our trusty cameras, and if you want sharper, more vibrant memories with a blanket of vignette and oozing with unique character, hook up your camera with Lomography’s latest innovation, the New Russar+ Lens.
As camera-toting, wanderlust-driven adventurers, we are always seeking for the most intriguing places to visit and immortalize in our travel snaps. If you loved the Petzval Lens, we have Joseph Petzval to thank for. The mathematician/inventor/physicist was born in Hungary, but spent most of his life in Vienna. As a tribute, we visited some of the most significant places in his life, armed with our cameras and the New Lomography Petzval Art Lens. Watch the video below!
I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Have a look after the jump!
The awesome album you'll find after the jump is a fitting one for today's special occasion, and will perhaps make you want to look back at those precious portraits of moms around you that you've taken in the past!
