The Tri-X 400 was the first black and white I loaded in to my Diana and It was just what I hoped it would be!
It was a long time since the last time I shot in black and white. My last experience was not a great success. There is something about shooting black and white – one should remember that what one sees is not exactly what one gets and that color-based contrast sometimes gets lost in translation.
And that was what I was missing in my last B&W roll, a few years back, the contrast. So, when I got a roll of the Tri-X 400, I thought that this time I’ll try to do the mental switch of shooting black and white, and hoped to get the aid of this film. It delivered. I was very happy when I picked up the first developed and printed roll from the lab. It was just what I wanted! I loved the deep contrast, the wide spectrum of grays and the fine grain. Since then I shot a few more rolls, and was very satisfied from the results.
Well, if you like black and white, I say you should definitely give this one a try!
I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.

Lomography UK was lucky enough to test an LC-A 120 prototype in store and it was glorious! We used colour and black and white film to capture the camera at its finest. It was everything you would expect from the LC-A but in full frame 38mm f/4.5 120 film. It's LOVE.

Summer is full of color so using black and white film might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Yet the summer sun works out beautifully on black and white film. Like to give it a try? I've come across the best light at the train station during rush hour!

A weekend without a lomowalk seems bad, at least for me. One Saturday morning, I decided to join my friends in their lomowalk. It was all cloudy at first but it didn't stop me from going out and walking. I brought my new Nikon FM2 and some expired rolls, just to test my camera. Was it just me being sleepy, or was my Nikon FM2 acting up? My photos turned out grainy, pale, and, in my opinion, looking so 1990s?
