The Tri-X 400 was the first black and white I loaded in to my Diana and It was just what I hoped it would be!
It was a long time since the last time I shot in black and white. My last experience was not a great success. There is something about shooting black and white – one should remember that what one sees is not exactly what one gets and that color-based contrast sometimes gets lost in translation.
And that was what I was missing in my last B&W roll, a few years back, the contrast. So, when I got a roll of the Tri-X 400, I thought that this time I’ll try to do the mental switch of shooting black and white, and hoped to get the aid of this film. It delivered. I was very happy when I picked up the first developed and printed roll from the lab. It was just what I wanted! I loved the deep contrast, the wide spectrum of grays and the fine grain. Since then I shot a few more rolls, and was very satisfied from the results.
Well, if you like black and white, I say you should definitely give this one a try!
Let it be known: this pairing has to do with love at first click, at the first roll of film, at the first prints. My newest toy, the Yashica Electro 35 GSN, combined with my favorite black and white film, Kodak BW400 CN: this is definitely going to be a long-lasting love.
I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.

Lomography UK was lucky enough to test an LC-A 120 prototype in store and it was glorious! We used colour and black and white film to capture the camera at its finest. It was everything you would expect from the LC-A but in full frame 38mm f/4.5 120 film. It's LOVE.
Just recently I asked myself why I would want to write about a film like the Fuji Instax Mini, because usually this film is the only one available for Fuji Instax cameras. But then it hit me! It can be an alternative to many other instant films, since I can load almost any film into my Diana F+, other medium and 135 format cameras, and of course the Fuji Instax Mini.
Shake well and apply to fabric. Blot out excess using a paper towel. Create your design using Inkofilm or anything that casts a shadow. Expose to sunlight or bright UV light for 10-20 minutes or until color reaches full saturation. Machine wash using Inkowash to remove unexposed dye. Double your exposure time in overcast weather. Enjoy the "wow" result!
If you happen to come across an expired Lomography Color Negative 400 ISO 120 film pack, either in a store or on the Internet, get one and be ready for an exciting experience. You'll definitely get more from it!
About two years ago or so, I purchased the Lomography Redscale XR 50-200. I saved just one roll of this film and waited for the right moment to shoot with it. In April this year, I just wasn't able to take it anymore! I loaded this film into my Lubitel 166+, which I realized I hadn't used for maybe about six months. One idea came to mind: taking crazy multiple exposures!
