Bochum Total is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe – and it's completely free of charge!
Bochum Total is a four-day-festival and it’s usually on the first thursday-sunday of the summer holidays (i.e. at the end of June or beginning of July). For the duration of the festival, the entire city centre of Bochum is blocked for traffic, so if you want to go there it’s a good idea to leave your car at home or outside of town and go by public transport.
There’s a variety of stages set up in the entire downtown area, ranging from really big to rather small. Although there are some „big names“, most bands are new-comers, „insider tips“ or local bands. Musical styles include mostly pop and rock, but almost any other kind of music can be found there, too.
Apart from the stages, there’s also a lot of sales boothes set up in the streets where you can get food and drinks, but also CDs and records, T-Shirts, jewelery and all other kinds of merchandise.
And if this isn’t enough already, almost all the bars, restaurants and clubs in the city centre have special offers during the festival days, sometimes with aftershow parties or live music of their own.

August 24, 2014 was a great day because of the We The Fest 2014! Maybe it's too early to call it the biggest summer music festival in Jakarta because this has just been its first edition. Nevertheless, my girl and I enjoyed every moment of it!
Horse Thief was one of the bands we worked with during CMJ Music Marathon. This Oklahoma-based band came all the way to NYC to play in tone of the world's biggest indie music festivals. We gave them a Fisheye camera too, so they could capture their trip around the Big Apple.

INmusic Festival is my favorite music festival in the world. But as it turned out, lots of other people have discovered it, too. They said 75,000 people attended the festival this year, which was like the number of attendees for the two previous years combined.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
The skies were busy with magic today — or maybe it was just the solar eclipse that caused all that ruckus? Decked out in space-age goggles and other various sun viewing paraphernalia, groups of people gathered as the moon moved between the sun and the earth this morning across Europe. Only a few lucky folks witnessed the total eclipse, and here at Vienna HQ, the greatest moment of the partial eclipse happened at 10:45 A.M. and lasted only a few minutes. We stopped everything we were doing to join the sky watchers crew and share in this astonishing moment. Check out these brilliant solar-inspired shots to celebrate the occasion!

Back in the 1990s, Gilbert Blecken was a big music fan and wrote for his own small music fanzine. He would interview bands in between sound checks and take photographs of them. He was never a professional photographer or worked for a company; he simply did it for his fanzine. Twenty years on, Gilbert’s photographs have matured into an amazing documentation of some of the biggest music icons of that era. We caught up with Gilbert to ask him about these photographs and the fascinating story behind them.
