Lomographer at Work: My Days as a Junior High School Student

2

Being a student doesn't limit my creativity to lomograph my days with friends. This is the story of my everyday life!

Since I got my first analogue camera, the trusty wide angled La Sardina Capri Bagni di Tiberio, I always bring it everywhere, including my school.

My class’ self sketch, we made it on our first day in 8th grade.

My class as usual, is a fun class, we are 16 students and 2 teachers. But unlike all other boring classes and school, we like to have fun!

What makes us special? Well, our school is different from other schools here in Indonesia. Our school learns the way of teaching from America — that’s means we can have fun while learning!

Sometimes, when I’m alone, I like to shoot around my class with my La Sardina and Fritz the Blitz.

The great thing about us, XGen (that’s the name of our class) is that when we have free time, we love to gather around to either have a chat or just play around.

This is my junior high school life! What’s yours?

The World, According to Herr Willie: The Amazon

It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.

My Day in Analogue: Lazy Summer Days at Home

Every summer, my soul screams for a lazy, hot day back at my parents' home, for some good food, relaxation, and catching up with childhood friends. This year is no different, so I went back down to my small hometown in the very northeast of Belgium to enjoy a perfect laid back day doing nothing and everything. And of course, I brought my analogue cameras along to eternalize all of these small but grand moments in life.

My Key to Escaping Digital Confinement: The Lomo LC-Wide

I'm Nick Page, a graphic designer based in the UK. After 20 years of working in advertising, I returned to film photography five years ago and found that the analogue life was just what I needed to get away from the "pixel perfect" images I deal with every day in my job.

The Magic Yet To Come: Part 1

Here’s a random and rather mysterious tale for you folks. Just the other day, I was at a local bar with a few friends. It was much like any other evening; we were sipping a couple of cocktails, recounting our adventures, falling over ourselves with laughter and half-drunkenly meditating on the meaning of life (a scientist once told me it’s 42 by the way). But then something truly strange happened. Read on to hear my story and please make a comment with your guess at the end!
