Food, glorious food! We love it, we hate it, we sometimes can't help but think about it. And sometimes, we just can't resist taking photos of it!
In this age of Instagram #selfies, and shoot-before-you-eat filtered food photos shot by your high-tech mobile phone, we Lomographers stand above these for we have our film cameras and that wise concept about food and photos!
Ah yes, we take photos of the food we eat but we do them Lomography style! So in this edition of The Lomography Hipshot Showdown, please make us hungry by showing us the food that makes you hungry! Ah yes, it’s all about food!
Only Lomographs in relation to the theme, food that makes you hungry, will be qualified for the rumble.

Here at Lomography we believe that everyone should be able to live an experimental, interactive, vivid and sometimes even blurred and crazy way of life. And we also believe that it is important to make the analogue lifestyle more accessible to everyone! This is why we're calling out to Lomographers in the Baltic region to help spread the Lomography love in your area!
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
Hundreds of thousands of photographs have been shared in the community for the past twelve months and we cannot help but commend those that really stood out and captured everyone's attention. Let's take a look back at this great year through this selection of landscapes and portraits that make up the most popular photos of 2014.
For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
For Crow, his LC-Wide, which he fondly calls Elsie, is the perfect camera for his "Don't think, just shoot" attitude. He takes it wherever he goes and even uses the camera to teach his daughter about photography. In this interview, he shares more about his love for the LC-Wide plus some of the photographs taken by his young apprentice.
Simeon Smith is a musician who recorded the sounds of our film cameras in action and made these samples available as a free download. We couldn't resist interviewing him about this project and taking a look at some of his photos. Meet the man behind the cams here.
If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!
We love hearing about exciting and innovative ways to share photos here at Lomography HQ. That's why we when we came up with this super sweet way of spreading your Lomo'Instant snaps, we had to pass it on. Check it out!
