Spinner 360 Chicago Boat Tour!

We are so excited to announce a workshop that has been in the works for months. Sunday June 30th join us for our very first Spinner 360 workshop. But we have made this workshop extra special by doing it ON A BOAT! Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot with one of our most epic cameras on the Chicago River!

The Spinner 360 is one of the coolest cameras of all time. Perfect for landscapes, group shots, and photographing everyday life in a way that no other camera can. Watch in amazement this camera quickly spin around and capture a full circle of Lomographic goodness.

30 bucks gets you a loaner camera, 2 rolls of film, the full Spinner 360 workshop and a ticket for the boat, and an extra special surprise! What a deal! Due to very limited space you must RSVP for this workshop by pre-paying at the store by June 26th. If you need to RSVP past June 26th you must call the store ahead of time to see if there are any open spots.

The workshop will start at 11:30am at the Lomography Gallery Store Chicago. Please meet us here, to grab your cameras and film. We will go through the Spinner workshop so everyone can learn how to shoot with this amazing camera. We will then meet at the boat dock located at 400 North Michigan Ave. There will be no transportation provided to and from the boat dock, so please plan this ahead of time. Our boat will set sail at 2:30 pm but please arrive 30-45 minutes early to insure a good spot in the top deck. Seating is a first come first serve basis so get there early to get the most out of your trip!

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

    Happenings on Film: Photographia Project

Last year I took part in Photographia, a project that encouraged the use of cameras from the volt of Museu da Imagem em Movimento (M|i|mo). The gear collection used to belong to a well-known Portuguese TV channel (RTP) and some professional photographers. The cameras hadn’t been used since they were donated to the museum—until the launch of Photographia.
