We can change everything in this world but there's one fact that will remain permanent. It's not our house, not the size of our feet, nor the color of the rose planted in your garden.
It’s our mothers. The woman who brought us in this world after nine months (or maybe less) of keeping us in her belly. The one who took care of us no matter how mischievous or foolish we can be. The number one lady in our lives despite having boyfriends, girlfriends, or husbands or wives!
And today is a very special day for the woman we love. It’s the day we say ‘thank you’ or even ‘I love you’ for all the love and support they’ve given! Of course we want to share this special day with you! So in this week’s gallery post, we’re giving you 50 portraits of mother and child that we absolutely love!
Hope you enjoy this one! And Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers! <3
Rooms contain what the owner values or has come to hate (tucked in boxes, of course). Colors reveal mood swings. Gardens follow the season’s orders. A house keeps up with ever-changing whims and styles—one of the things that make it a home. Here’s something to inspire your next spruce-up.
It was the Amazon which I had longed for my whole life. And when it was finally a set deal that I will travel to Brazil with two of my best friends for the Copa do Mundo (World Cup), we really had to start our adventure in the Amazon. I had known about this magical place deep in the rainforest. There was a lodge run by local people of indigenous background, with wooden houses that float on the water and a limited number of visitors. It was eco-tourism as how it should be. To preserve and to celebrate one of the most impressive locations I have seen so far.
For some, it marked their first foray into the wonderful world of analog photography. Others consider it a trusty, go-to camera despite having a massive camera collection which sometimes include some of the best gear there is. Whatever the case may be, toy cameras will always hold a special place in the hearts (and shelves) of analog photographers everywhere, quirks and all.
On this day and age when many are incorporating digital gear into their workflows, whether fully or partly, there still are photographers who remain rooted to their analog roots and continue to shoot with film cameras. In commemoration of Film Photography Day happening tomorrow, we have scoured through our past interviews to highlight the reasons these photographers choose to still shoot film.
There are things that artist Valeriie Liin can't leave the house without: her earphones, two notebooks, keys to her home in Taiwan, and a little color palette for painting. It's not always that she can paint, though, so for those times she turns to her cameras.
A vacation is a trove of vibrant objects: the countertop of sublime-looking drinks, the mosaic tiles that line an Olympic-sized pool, the nautical stripes of beach chairs. We remember in detail, and photography is our way to anticipate what we will catalog long after the break is over. This Lomography Color Negative gallery celebrates the still life wonders of these dreamy holidays.
In Carly Zavala’s work, honesty comes in visual cues. It can be as simple as a woman looking straight into the camera, or as meaningful as a man deep in thought. It is loyalty to the facts of a scene. What little light is there she will finesse into a striking image.

We tidy up the house when we know visitors are coming. It’s not just common courtesy. Our homes represent how we live and how we want to be seen. More than that, the arrangement of furniture and ornaments may influence what we do during our downtime. Want hush or energy? Try the color palettes, textures and shapes in these curated blogs.
