What was once a hidden spot, Virgin Beach in Bali is not so hidden anymore because of the people that visit often. But who cares though? This is my first time going there, so you bet I will enjoy Virgin Beach!
One Sunday, my lomofriends Engga and Agung took me to Virgin Beach. It was quiet a drive from Ubud to the spot, which is located in Candidasa. The area is half-hidden, and you might miss it if you don’t read the signs well, but if you drive your car or motorcycle carefully, you will find a sign that will point you to the right direction.
I regret that I didn’t get to bring my LC-A+ Krab with me because I didn’t think that I would find myself on the beach when I was packing my stuff for Bali (my travel purpose was doing fieldwork for my thesis).
As we arrived there, I was so amazed by its beautiful view since I haven’t see the sea in years! It was a nice moment for me to embrace the wind, the sun and the waves. Although, I still hate myself for not being spontaneous enough to swim in Virgin Beach as my mind was all about my research.
I think people who visited Virgin Beach will have a great time. Even though I was just walking around the white sand in Virgin Beach and enjoying the scenery in front of me, I was really happy because there’s just something about being in the beach on a Sunday. It was so relaxing.
Here are some panoramas of Virgin Beach!
As the sun was setting and before the dark came in, we packed ourselves and headed back to Ubud. While Virgin Beach is not that famous as Kuta Beach or Nusa Dua Beach, it’s a perfect place for a nice relaxing time. Go visit Virgin Beach if you’re in Bali!
