Everyone is a Great Model in Lomographs

10

Everyone is a great model in lomographs. One of the reasons why I love to share photos in Lomography is because we are just like a big family who are addicted to lomo. Everyone looks great and natural--we are who we are, that's what I can see through our beloved lomographers' photos.

We are not supermodels, we are not professional photographers but we have the passion for Lomography. I love to see our beloved lomographers’ self-portraits. I love to see their family and friends smile to me through lomographs. I love to see Lomo-fashion, Lomo-Gentlemen, Lomo-Ladies, Lomo-Couples, Lomo-Family, Lomo-Kids and Lomo-Elders.

Sometimes, I thinkt of our beloved Lomographers as the best spokespersons to promote Lomography instead of engaging any artist, supermodel, or athlete for a shoot. Let’s get started to see our beloved lomographers, who are always the best models.

Lomo-Fashion: Fashion is great but the power of Lomo x fashion is much greater. It can be as simple as white T with jeans or it can be some special themed costume. No matter how, Lomo-fashion is great, in style and spirit.

Lomo-Gentlemen: let’s look at those handsome, stylish, and smart-looking men.

Lomo-Ladies: Our lovely, sweet, cute, pretty, sexy and cool ladies. Ladies look more charming they are holding a camera, don’t you agree?

Lomo-Couples: Our beloved lomographers never hesitate to share their great moments with their partners with us. This is really sweet and romantic.

Lomo-Family: Lomography is always full of happiness. Great moments with the family, all smiles, always brightens up my day.

Lomo-Kids: All babies and kids are adorable. Parents love lomo and the children love lomo too. How great is this? Of course, there are some great photos taken by our lovely lomo-kids. Let’s check out what these kids saw through the viewfinder!

Lomo-Elders: A great model is not about the age, body size, and face but being young at heart and positive towards life. They look great in lomographs, trust me.

Everyone is a great model. We have nothing to hide behind lomographs. We are who we are, our the best will be capture through analogue cameras.

A Salute to the Masters: The Girl with the Scarred Face (A Tribute to Juergen Teller)

This is a tribute to Juergen Teller, a great fashion photographer who continues to work with analogue cameras. In the 1990s he radically changed the way to make fashion photography. His models appear "soap and water", without heavy make-up, and his images seem taken like an amateur photographer. Between his nice works, there is a photos that I like so much, taken in Cuba and called "The Girl with the Broken Nose." Take a look after the jump!

I want to share with you my experience with some slides when I was in Russia. I'm very sorry for them because I messed them up. They're just ruined and they'll never be the same! But hey, I have thousands of them, so I guess it's not a big deal after all.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.
