What an awesome Lomo LC-A anniversary year 2009 has been and it’s not over yet! As a special community treat we have an awesome line up of interviews day after day until the big one. Now we’d like to introduce you to Stoonja, who wants to go around the world with his Lomo LC-A!

1. When did you get your first Lomo LC-A or Lomo LC-A+?
I discovered Lomography in august 2005 in Paris, i bought my first Lomo camera : Holga. During one year i shooted with this beautiful plastic cam but I didn’t know lomography.com. In september 2006, I met lomographers from Nice (Vicuna and Jazzgohan) for a Lomographic mission in Barjols (near my home in the south of France). They taught me a lot of things about Lomography, and for the first time I met the lomo lca. From this time I began to show my pics on Lomography.com and three months later i bought the camera of my dreams the LC-A+ russian lens, and then i felt in love !!

2. Tell us your greatest Lomographic experience with your LC-A or LC-A+ camera?
Every time you shoot is a great experience with the LC-A+, I use it in so many differents conditions, day, night, sunny day, rainny day, snowy day, at work, at home, under the shower etc… So great all the time, but what i like the most is to double with another lomographer, from France or anywhere in the world, it’s really funny and interesting to discover the pics it produce, the result is extraordinary and unique.

3. Which of the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography most applies to your shooting style and why?

For sure it’s to take my camera everywhere, without it you can’t apply (or not) the other rules !!! It’s always around my neck with a strap, like a jewel, ready to shoot at any time.

4. How would your life be different if you’d never discovered the LC-A or LC-A+?
First of all, LC-A+ made me love more analog photography, shooting and experimenting all film i could find, slide or negative. I discovered mutiple expositions, x-pro, and the DIY photography. I think i rediscovered photography, having fun photographying, shooting everythings i like, and try new things i never did in traditional photography .

5. Here’s the scene: your somewhere in the world with your LC-A+, a sack of your favorite film, and your best friend in the whole world… where are you and why?
Oh it could be anywhere in the world, with my family and friends, with my LC-A+ with slide and negative films like kodak E100G, fuji provia 100, provia 400X, Fuji NPH 400… But i really like to shoot in a big town, there are so different things to catch, architecture, people, life is so interesting !! I went to Amsterdam with friends, I shooted like mad (about 20 roll in 5 days) it was really fun to discover a new place !! Ha si j’étais riche lalalala lalalala lalalala !!! I’ll go around the world !!!!!!

6. What advice would you give someone who is thinking about getting an LC-A+ and is still not sure?

What can I say ? It’s a magic cam with a great Minitar lens, endless capabilities, with a lot accessories like wide angle lens, splitzer, fisheye lens, tunnel vision and macro lens …so much things and films to try to have fun ! Produce good pics in all conditions of ligth and in all terrain, it had to be in your pocket every time. So you have to try it, and “try it, adopt it” !!!
