Lomographer for a Day: My Girlfriend

2

My girlfriend went to Belitung islands in Sumatra, Indonesia, and I lent her my SuperSampler camera to accompany her. Let’s see what she captured!

Holiday is a nice moment, and it is perfect when you keep the good memories by bring your lomo camera. So, i lent one of mine for my girlfriend when she had holiday.

As a mentor, I give her some tips:

1. The SupeSsampler loves the sun (because this camera can’t capture in the dark)

2. Don’t think, just shoot.

3. And told her about the rest of the Lomography Golden Rules (Haha!)

So I give her Fuji ISO 800. I though it was the best ISO for her to use, even though I knew that she will visit the beaches, but still, we want to prevent the bad result (such as blank or under exposure).

It amazed me when the roll was developed! I think she’ll become a good lomographer. For me, it’s perfect, no under nor over exposure. Here are the results:

I made a mini interview with her too, so I get to know how her experience with my SuperSampler went. Check it out!

1. How long has it been since you had shot with a film roll?
I think this is my first time.. before I used to take photos with the DSLR camera. This is kinda new for me and surprisingly, I love the result.

2. How’s your experience for being lomographer?
It’s fun… People were always asking me what kind of camera it is, and I proudly explained it to each people. Maybe I was the only one who brought an analogue camera for that trip, but I’m excited, curious with the result. I think you can lend it to me again anytime!

3 .What’s your opinion about the SuperSampler?
This is very unique. It can capture moving objects, it’s fun, it’s very light. I can bring it easily in my bag and especially it made my holiday.

4. So, do you wanna be a lomographer?
Sure, I had a lot of fun with it!

I think she’ll buy a SuperSampler first.

LOMO ON!

The SuperSampler, the queen of multilensed cameras, is now in black. It takes four sequential panoramic shots on a single, action-packed 35mm photo. See all SuperSampler colours and designs in our Shop!
