Midnight's Children X Lomography Rumble

Fascinated by the beauty of India? Celebrate the release of Deepa Mehta's new film, Midnight's Children, by submitting your stunning analog photos for some fun prizes!

We’ve teamed up with Midnight's Children, a film based on award winning author Salman Rushdie’s classic novel and directed by Oscar-nominated, female director Deepa Mehta. The film is an epic saga of Saleem Sinai and Shiva — switched at birth in the hour of India’s independence, their lives mysteriously intertwined with each other and their country. Midnight’s Children is a tale full of heartbreak, hope, comedy, tragedy and a considerable amount of magic, the film conjures characters and images as rich and unforgettable as the vast nation it celebrates.

The movie was filmed on location in Sri Lanka and we were wowed by its cinematography. Check out the magical trailer below:

To celebrate Midnight’s Children, we want you to submit your very best analogue photos that capture the spirit of India. Whether you’ve actually traveled to India and captured a beautiful landscape or have snapshots around your hometown that capture the look, feel, and spirit of India, we want to see them! Get creative for a chance to win some great prizes and merchandise signed by Salman Rushdie (who’s won more Booker Awards for Midnight’s Children than any other book in the universe!) and Deepa Mehta (Oscar-nominated Hollywood director).

Grand prize winner:

  • A poster signed by Oscar-nominated Deepa Mehta and Salman Rushdie
