Lomography Color Tiger 110 : First Impression with the Tiger!

3

When I received the package consisting of Fisheye Baby 110 and Lomography Color Tiger 110, I just knew it I would have a great time with it! . To be honest, this is my first time using Lomography Color Tiger 110 so this review is about my first impression with the tiger! Raaawwrrr!!

When I first found out that Lomography brought back the 110 analogue love to us all, I thought “Wooow.. maybe I should buy a baby camera!”. Many years ago, I found a heavily expired Fuji 110 film… I don’t remember which Fuji but the result I got back then was so terrible and I would rather not to talk about that matter. So after putting the Tiger in the Fisheye Baby, I went out shooting!

As you could see from the images above, I exposed the Tiger in the wrong weather. The first and the second one I shot under in a very cloudy day in Bandung, but then the third one I used my Colorsplash Flash. So for future users that want great shots, my advice is use color flash if you’re indoor, and shoot under the bright light if you’re outside. The Tiger will show some rawwwrrrr-love if you shoot outside!

How about that for outside shots? Pretty nice?! Based on my first experience using Lomography Tiger 110, I need so much light to exposed the film adequately, and don’t forget to use flash! I mean it, flash flash flash! Don’t be lazy! Flash it!

And if you love to shoot closely like me then this film will give you something nice! It won’t overexpose your shots and you can see the results below! I think I will buy some Tiger for my Fisheye Baby 110! Get close!

To compare indoor shots using no flash and outdoor shots without flash, I’ll give you these two images!

Indoor shots without flash
Outdoor shots without flash

This is my first impression with the Tiger and I must admit I have to buy a couple of rolls for my Fisheye Baby 110. In the meantime let me try the Orca then Peacock or Lobster. Spread the 110 love!

I underestimated the amount of light (and good weather) you need with my first roll too :)

12 Months, 12 Projects: March Of Caffenol

My list of resolutions for 2015 consists of 12 projects, one for every month. March was for caffenol. You have probably heard of the amazing fact that you can develop black and white photos with coffee, sodium, and vitamin C. I had tried this before but with less than stellar results. Somehow, there's always something going wrong. Time to devote a few rolls to caffenol to finally get the hang of it.

12 Months, 12 Projects: July - Freelensing Fun

My 2015 resolution is to do 12 photography projects, one for every month. In July, I tried freelensing or unscrewing the lens from my SLR and holding it in front of the camera body. By tilting the lens slightly I was able to change the focus. For this experiment, I used my Konstruktor and Olympus OM-1.

Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.
