Lomographer For A Day: My Little Sister

1

I have a little sister who has always been curious about my passion in Lomography. So, I lent her my Fisheye No. 2 camera loaded with a Fuji Velvia 100. Find out about her experience as a Lomographer for a Day after the jump!

Her name is Dindi and excitement comes when i lent her my Fisheye no. 2 camera. She owns a DSLR though, but I’m not sure if she uses it well. So it was her first time using a film camera.

I explained the basic instructions about the camera, and then i loaded the camera with a Fujichrome Velvia 100. I knew that I took a gamble on her to use such an expensive film. So I told her many times to use it under the sun. But did she give a d*mn about what I said repeatedly? I don’t think so.

She took some of her shots in my backyard because there are our pets’ shots.

She also took some shots while she went with her friends, but I think it was very cloudy at that time.

Here are the rest of her photos:

Then, I interviewed her about her Lomographic experience.

What do you think about Fisheye No. 2?
It is such a cute camera! I had fun shooting with it, but i though the results would turn out better than these! I should’ve shot under the sun.

Can you describe it in five words?
Can I borrow it again?

After this experience, do you think you will buy your own Lomographic camera?
I really want to! But I think our parents won’t allow it (because I already have a DLSR). Will you buy it for me?

No.
Okay.

There you go, my little sister being a Lomographer for a day!

Fisheye No. 2 has a 170-degree wide angle view and stunning barrel distortion. Now with a hotshoe and multiple and long exposure capabilities, the world’s greatest compact Fisheye camera is now more amazing than you ever thought possible! Available in different colours and special designs.

Last Sunday, the local rugby team Rugby Como played the first match of the 2014-1025 season. Rugby is my favorite sport to photograph, and for some years I've been documenting almost every home match of this young team. This time I used a 1959 Zorki 5 camera with a vintage 1958 Industar-50 lens loaded with a timeless film, the Ilford HP5+ developed in a century-old developer, the mythical Rodinal. I prefer being outdoors whenever I go on a vacation at the seaside. For this reason, I always choose to stay at a campsite instead of a hotel. This year, I stayed at a beautiful one in the south of Italy. Here is a series of photos which I received a few days ago from the excellent LomoLab service, taken with my Sprocket Rocket. Lomography Fisheye No.2: Seven Years of Wonder

Exactly seven years ago, I bought this camera from Indonesia's local Lomography community. I remember having some savings in my bank account and just spending it all on this camera. At that time, I browsed the microsite for the Lomography Fisheye No.2 and immediately fell in love with it! Coincidentally, my friend who introduced me to Lomography just bought this same camera for his birthday. My life has changed ever since I had the Fisheye, my first lomographic camera.
