Built way back in the 1800s, The Great Lomo LC-A Race's winner of the Seventh Stage sure goes to new heights!
One of the Great LOMO LC-A Race’s main goals is to present in a whole new light the classic (or if you will, boring) tourist spots that we grew up with as kids. We already know them like the back of our hands but of course, the rest of the Lomographic community hasn’t stepped foot there so it’s time to give it a whole new spin!
misskhali gives us this new vantage point that we are looking for in her trip to La Mole Antonelliana and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema. The location is overflowing to the brim with old stories and rich culture, from why construction was stopped, when it was rebuilt, all the way to the exhilarating view 70 stories above Torino. So our congratulations go to misskhali and the rest of Euro Team 2 for a big win!
Between Lomography and Skillshare there are a lot of talented people. Photographers from all corners of the globe have come together to share in exploring what Lomo stands for: a little bit of experimentation mixed with an eye for aesthetics. We've chosen winners from our SkillShare Rumble -- check out what these students shot!
We had a huge response from this competition and quite rightly so, I mean who wouldn't want the chance to win a copy of the new Flying Lotus album? Anyway, we've picked our way through them all and chosen the best three. Find out who has won here.
In February, we hosted a Lomo'Instant Accessory Challenge in collaboration with GrabCAD. The idea of this competition was to stoke the creative ones and encourage them to be bold in experimenting with the accessories that come with Lomography's new instant camera.
Aaaaaand we're back to regular programming! Apologies that it took us long to reveal December's winners, we had too much eggnog and partied way past our bedtime. So without further delay, here's The Best of the LomoKino - December.
Together with the people behind MELT! Festival, we asked for your most beautiful festival moments in pictures. It's time to reveal the winner of two festival tickets (including camping) and more Lomography prizes.
There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
