3

One of the most popular techniques among the community is lightpainting – it’s fun, it’s challenging, and if successful, the results are quite rewarding! So how about taking things up to the next level?

While it is completely possible to pull off a great lightpainting photograph on your own, imagine how much more fun it is to create a whole masterpiece with a few more helping hands!

Gather round a group of friends and plan together a scene that you want to draw. Is there a particularly long word or sentence that you would like to spell out? Get crazy and creative!

From brainstorming to the actual execution, expect a lot of laughs and whole lot of analogue fun!

How do you make your life a little bit more analogue with each day’s passing? Aside from these Analogue Day Activities we’ve been sharing, why don’t you inspire your fellow lomographers as we inch closer to the worldwide Film Photography Day celebrations and share with us your own stories? Remember, you can also schedule your own meet-ups for the big event, show your analogue life through an awesome video, and profess your love for all things analogue with some of your best snaps!

I've been wanting to do this for ages, even bringing a bulb-mode camera and a box of glowsticks to most social gatherings.

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

As a wildlife cameraman and photographer, Ian Llewellyn has worked on a number of television projects. The UK-based lensman breaks free from the strict confines of his profession by engaging in monochrome photography. His personal work is a plethora of abstract and experimental imagery, created in a style distinctly his own. Llewellyn is an ardent user of a Leica Monochrom camera, on which he mounted the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Lens, producing the most imaginative, phantasmic results.
