Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?
I am a true believer in randomness and I work as a visual merchandiser. I love to travel – most of my photography is taken during my travels.
How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?
Looking back on my Lomographic journey… Two years back, my friends gave me a Diana Mini as a birthday present and it was my first Lomography camera.
When in doubt, I was sure to give a visit to one of my close friends, whose an analogue camera retailer, Photo Crafts. Whenever I had any questions or problems with my camera, I gave him a knock. After a while, it became my habit, hobby and a part of my daily routine.
What Lomography cameras do you use and which is your absolute favourite?
I have all kinds of Lomography cameras, such as the Diana Mini, Diana F+, Lomo LC-Wide and Belair X 6-12 Jetsetter, to name a few. My absolute favourite camera would definitely be the Lomo LC-Wide easy to fit everyone in the picture. It’s portable, flexible yet fashionable.
Describe Lomography in five words.
Simple. SOUL MATE. Mysterious. Surprising.
Is there a film you like best?
Lomography X Tungsten. I love the colors and the pink, blue and red tones.
If you had to choose one picture, which one would be your favourite?
My favorite photo was double with ccwu from Taiwan, I felt so lucky to have an opportunity to double with him and get such an awesome result.
Tell us the most unforgettable, strangest, funniest, or worst photographic/Lomographic encounter you have ever had.
When I loaded my first roll of film, I wondered why I could take so many shots for a roll — even 80 shots. Later, I realized that the film wasn’t loaded at all!
If you could photograph anyone, living or deceased, who would it be?
Anything that can fit in the frame. Although, I would have to choose, international Chinese model, Liu Wen. Her character seems so full of glamour and her smile is so sweet.
If you could bring your cameras and film anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
I would go to Rome. The historical buildings are so awesome. The Colosseum, Altare della Patria, Trevi fountain, Haha, just talking about it makes me drool. I hope I can go there soon!
What tips and tricks would you share for new Lomographers?
Bring your camera and shoot everywhere you go – especially shoot when there’s sunshine.
