Mixed Breed: A Cat & Dog Film Swap

We are not only Lomographers, but we are Lomographers who love animals! They make for great photography subjects for one thing, on top of the love and joy they bring to our lives. We thought, well, how cool would it be to do a film swap specifically of our pets?! Check out the results after the jump.

Breyer and I both have LC-Wide cameras and chose that as our weapon of choice for this film swap. The film was first run through my camera with shots of my cat Charlee, a lioness of a Tabby and Himalayan mix. The second run was done during a workshop with the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport with William, the long-haired chihuahua and his friends. Normally, my cat would hide away from any chance of being near a dog, but I’d say it’s quite a different story in these shots.

You may have to pay a bit more attention to see where exactly Charlee is – she’s very ghostly!

This was our first collaboration and I think there can still be some improvements made, but we’re definitely into this film swap idea. Look forward to more “Mixed breed” photos coming up!

The Lomo LC-Wide boasts the newly-developed 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens. This 35mm camera wonder is the perfect companion for your photo expeditions. It produces eye-catching splashes of colour with astonishing saturation and contrasts with the added versatility of 3 different formats. Open up to a new photographic experience with the LC-Wide, available in our Shop.
