Smells like the "Overly Descriptive Title" photo series is back! Today, we're sharing a photo that combines the three things that most Lomographers love: analogue photography, music, and cats! Yeah!
The 90’s gave us Nirvana, the infamous grunge band with its even more notorious frontman Kurt Cobain. With the mass popularity of their “angsty” hits like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, and Heart-Shaped Box, Cobain struggled with a public image that he believed was a result of the misinterpretation of his artistic expression.
His issues with wife Courtney Love, battle with substance abuse, and eventual self-inflicted demise was one of the most sensationalized tragedies of the music industry, painting a perennially dark image for the fallen rockstar. Unbeknownst to most, Cobain was actually a very loving father to daughter Frances Bean. If only he learned to love himself.
But this article isn’t supposed to dwell on depressing issues. Remember Kurt as a regular guy who liked to goof around with cats and babies, as evidenced by these personal film photos!
By the way, this is Frances Bean today—a spitting image of Kurt during his last days.
