Want to take part in an amazing Lomographic experiment? On March 23rd, we will be creating a Photo Caterpillar at Lomography Gallery Stores worldwide. Not sure what a Photo Caterpillar is? Slide your way past the jump to get the full details and see an example!
Ladies and gentleman, on March 23rd 2013, history will happen. We are planning a mega-fun and monumentally long analogue Photo Caterpillar! For those of you who don’t know what a Photo Caterpillar is, the idea is simple:
1. We all stand in a loooooooooooooong line and shoot photos of each other with analogue cameras
2. The photos are then edited together to form a stop-motion animation.
We did an awesome Photo Caterpillar back in 2010 in London (check out the video below), but to celebrate our new Analogue Day campaign, we would like to take the idea global! We will be having a Photo Caterpillar shoot at every store worldwide on March 23rd. We’d love for you to come down to your local store and help make the video; it’s sure to be a ton of fun! Once we have done the photo-soot at each store, the scans will be edited into a video showing all the people who took part across the globe. Let’s show the world how many dedicated analogue photographers there are!
Interested in joining the fun? GREAT! For the exact time of your local Lomography Caterpillar, check the local articles for your Store below (more will be added over the coming days). See you on the 23rd!
Alison Scarpulla is an enormously talented photographer from the USA who utilizes experimental techniques such as multiple exposures and film soaking to create surreal, evocative and emotional shots. Read on for our exclusive interview with the woman behind such amazing photos, which you will see after the jump!

Lassi, one of our awesome Petzval Lens Kickstarter backers, came to visit us at Lomography HQ this week. We had a brilliant time introducing him to the Lomography team, showing him some of the Vienna sights and generally having fun. As part of the trip, we organized a special photo-shoot in which we took photos with a vintage Petzval lens on a Sinar P2 4x5 camera.
