The Lomography Gallery Store NYC knows how to have a good time. We also love to nerd out about photography. So we combined two things we really enjoy to bring you the Bar Noir workshop.
What: Bar Noir When: Saturday, February 16th Where: Lomography Gallery Store NYC
The evening began with a tutorial on how to use your flash to create moody images in dark locations. Our attendees learned that you can use your flash directly on your camera or fire it manually from other places in the room. This way you can light your subject however you choose! After finding out about new ways to use light we tested this new knowledge at the local pub.
A dark bar setting is a great way to enjoy a pint and practice your lighting skills. Once we had filled our bellies with some delicious spirits it was time to go on an adventure at Washington Square Park. There we took a very cute group shot!
Thanks to everyone who came out for a drink!

As the weather warms up and the sun begins to shine, it's time to take your cameras off the shelf and into action. We need you to help celebrate the wonders of film photography and keep the magic alive. #filmphotographyday2015
Some people say instant photos bring about a feeling of nostalgia. Although I often use the Lomo'Instant Camera with different crazy accessories such as the Splitzer and color gels, I have to agree there is something about it — dreamy vignettes maybe? — that always makes me want to go back in time and experience it all over again. In the name of analogue photography and good old memories, we passed by some classic spots in Vienna and took one shot after the other. Take a closer look at our gallery.
If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

He talks about his experience and shares the sights from his journey in this Lomography Magazine exclusive.
If you've ever used the Lomo'Instant camera, you know that the Fujifilm Instax Mini film ensures amazing and sharp results with vivid colors and natural skin tones. And although we love it the way it is, we also love to experiment. This time we ventured out with monochrome on our minds and got some pretty crazy results — check it out!
As a scientist, Pierrick is often curious about the mechanism behind how things work. His first brush with analog photography is no exception. Eager to know more about the inner workings of a film camera, he started from scratch and tested his DIY skill with the Konstuktor camera.
Hi, everyone! I'd like to share with you my 2014 summary on analogue photography. Some things I did were completely new, while some were my good old habits. Well, let's see...
