Holiday Photo Postcards

6

This festive season, why not try sending out greeting cards that you can print with your own Lomographic photos?

Look around you for some festive themed stuff. Choose from wallpapers, gift wrappers, old Christmas cards or anything that you think will give that special holiday sparkle in your shots! After selecting the materials, you need to have them scanned to prepare them for a little tweaking.

Once you are done with that, just convert those images to black & white mode in your favourite image editor. You can try inverting some of those images that has large portion of white subjects too. Why? This is because we will use these images as the ‘base’ for this festive doubles fun.

Here comes the fun part!

Fill up the entire roll with the first exposure by taking photos of all the images mentioned above. How to do this? You can either shoot them from your monitor/LCD or print them out. Well I shot mine from my LCD because this way I can spare a few pages of paper (and ink) from being wasted. This will later provide you a ‘canvas’ to ‘paint’ your second exposure on. I Guess by now you’ll realise that it is better to ensure there are more darker parts in those images so that the 2nd exposure can be seen more clearly. Simply re-load that roll of film afterwards and expose it for the 2nd time.

It is as simple as that, but yet you can get a roll of images complete with the festive feel! Have fun!

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!
