Do you like crisp and detailed photos from a reflex camera but also need a bit of color craziness? Well, you really need to try the Tungsten X64 from Lomography!
If you want to add a magical feeling to your photos, you really need to try the Tungsten X64. At first glance, I was a bit reluctant about this film. Finally, I decided to try it on my Fujica ST-601, an old but still great reflex camera from the ’70s.
When I received the developed roll, obviously cross-processed, I was really surprised by the results.
As you can see the saturation is really strong, and the colors leans towards pink and violet. It’s perfect for taking pictures indoors, because you won’t see that predominantly yellowish hue. The images come well-balanced and the mix between yellow from the lights and violet from the film is simply perfect!
You can use this film also for architecture photography. You’ll achieve wild colours that emphatize the shapes of the buildings.
This emulsion can transform a grey and dull overcast day. Your photos will be rich of colours, so it’s perfect for everyday shooting.
Finally, remember to capture the sunset and a long exposure shot in the evening, you’ll be surprised by super colors!
