PYHOF: Love and Lomography by Nick Raven

4

This week’s PYHOF spotlight is on Nick Raven, an upcoming troubadour from Drury, Auckland. Check out this single called Butterfly High (But I Fly So High) from his debut album, Love and Lomography(!) which will be released in March!

Nick Raven is a relatively new name in the music scene, but he has already managed to establish familiarity in Australia, with his songs Birdman and Butterfly High (But I Fly So High) enjoying replays all over the airwaves.

Raven’s first full-length album, Love and Lomography, which he wrote, produced, and recorded himself, is slated to be released this coming March 2. And is described to evoke “a sun-soaked, psychedelic fantasia” that sounds perfect for the season and “keep your summer glow shimmering for the rest of the year.”

In fact, you can listen to Butterfly High below and see for yourself.

“This is not an electronic album made by machines, nor was this album made for commercial gain. I wrote this album because I love writing music. I am releasing this album to attempt to connect to people. This is music for the soul from the depths of mine. Listen if you’d like to be heard.” — Nick Raven on his debut album
