Lomography Love-match: Speed Dating Workshop
WHEN: Sunday February 3rd @ 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Love will certainly be the air at this camera speed dating workshop! Oh l’amour! We are hosting the most magical, romantic afternoon one could wish for. As some of us haven’t found the perfect partner yet, this workshop will give our attendees the chance to find the perfect camera. With all our cameras dressed up and ready to find love, our Lomography Love-match speed dating event is the perfect opportunity get well acquainted with all our cameras before choosing which one you fall in love with!
Valentine’s Day Doubles Workshop
WHEN: Saturday February 9th @ 2pm – 4pm
Valentine’s Day and Love is all about doubles and what better way to celebrate than with a double exposure workshop! Shooting doubles is a fun way to live a double-life and see how it looks like seeing the emotions of two people exposed twice in those lovely film emulsions. Come spend a romantic afternoon with your sweetheart and learn the amazing effects that are achieved with multiple exposure film swapping, resulting in double exposure fun! This workshop will feature our beloved Diana Mini. As an added bonus, participants will receive 10% off our new limited-edition Diana F+ Love Letters & Diana Mini Love Letters Clones! Analogue is for Lovers Gallery Hop
WHEN: Sunday February 10th @ 1pm – 3pm
This lovely workshop is intended for you and your sweetie, Lomography style. We’ll cover all the bases including tips, tricks and techniques to get the best shots with a wide range of Lomography cameras. After we are acquainted with the cameras and each other (come solo, who knows you might meet someone in time for Valentine’s Day!) we will then set off to first buy a yummy latte to keep us warm as we take a romantic stroll down Queen West hopping in and out of all the galleries our amazing city has to offer. This workshop is a great way to spend an afternoon with your date while being enriched and inspired with everything photography.
Light Painting with the La Sardina
WHEN: Thursday February 21st @ 4:30pm – 6:30pm:
Light Painting with the La Sardina: Get that La Sardina out of the box and discover the beauty of light painting at night! This workshop will demonstrate the technique of light painting, using the La Sardina’s camera’s long exposure setting. Come to this workshop and learn how to create vibrant designs on your images using flashlights, sparklers and more!
Belair Lomo-Meet up! Were you one of the lucky ones who got your Belair early? Shot tons of film with it and already an expert? Well come and show off your skill! This meet up is for all Belair owners to meet up and share their pictures, tips and tricks with this lovely panoramic camera. This is a great opportunity to ask our expert staff any questions regarding the camera and shooting panoramic. Not an owner yet? Interested in getting one of your own? Well this meet up is for you. Come and see pictures that real users are taking and have the opportunity to ask questions to your fellow Lomographer. After the meet’n’greet, show&tell and Q&A, you’ll get the chance to flex your muscles as we hit the road on a lomowalk to capture stunning Belair panoramic images! This meet up will be hosted by one of our amazing Canadian Lomo-Amigos!
◦Workshops are $10 ($7 for students) unless otherwise noted. Workshop admission includes a free roll of film and a loaner camera if applicable. All participants will receive a 10% coupon for the store! Be sure to arrive early if you want to borrow a camera as quantities are limited.
