Uluwatu Temple officially known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu, a Balinese sea temple in Bali. Built in the 11th century, it is one of nine directional temples meant to protect Bali from evil spirits. Uluwatu Temple is a must visit place when you travel to Bali, Indonesia since it is an awesome and spectacular place.
Uluwatu Temple is a Hindu temple set on the cliff bank in the south part in Bali Peninsular. The views are absolutely gorgeous — with its stunning cliff side view and the dramatic crashing waves.
We were impressed by this breathtaking view of the cliff. The fresh winds hit my face and we listened as the waves hit on cliff side. It feels relaxing and peaceful while walking along the cliff.
The driver brought us to those nice points so we can capture great photos of the Uluwatu Temple. Drivers in Bali are friendly and helpful. He heledp us capture some photos as well.
Great Uluwatu Temple panorama view by La Sardina.
Uluwatu Temple is opened daily. As usual, visitors have to be properly dressed to enter the temple. Sarongs and sashes can be rented at the entrance. Kecak dance performances are held at the temple daily between 6PM to 7PM. I did not watch this performance since we came there quite early, and we were just heading to next destination.
Beware of the monkeys in Uluwatu, and do not forget to remove your eyeglasses, caps, and hairband. Take care of your belongings so it might be snatched by monkeys. The monkeys are naughty and they just act like little thieves.
I wish to come back here again and hopefully be able to watch Kecak Dance at Uluwatu next time.
