Shoot with your Heart; LomoKino LomoAmigo Sobetion

We know him for his stunning doubles and for the lovely portraits of his other half. But aside from that, we should also get to know his freshly developed skill with the LomoKino!

Coming from Bangkok, this guy may be quite new to our Community but he is definitely no stranger! Experimenting with Lomography and discovering its possibilities, it’s time to know more about LomoHome sobetion and his new found fetish for our glorious analogue movie maker!

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

Sawaddee krab! (Which means “hello” in Thailand!) My name is Mickey, I am from Bangkok, Thailand, a city which is very hot in Asia. Currently, I work as a Multimedia Designer. I love to play music and sobetion is the name of my band. If you’ll ask me what “sobetion” means, then… I also don’t know. Haha!

I seriously love Lomography! There are so many good friendships in here. If there’s no Lomography, I just do not know how to live my life. Yes, I am a Lomography addict!

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Imagination – Wonderful – Love – Comedy – Tale!

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

I certainly love it! I love to shoot with my girlfriend and I want to keep the memories when I travel with her. :)

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

A lot of movies from the LomoKino Microsite in the Screening Room page has inspired me. I watch a lot of movies and I think it’s charming and more moody to make analogue movies than digital ones. I did not hesitate to buy it. I’ve really fallen in love with the LomoKino!

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

It was a fun shoot, the “Pig” and “Chicken” LomoKino movie. They are lovely and playful and they love to nibble every appliance they see (ltable legs, stubs, my shoes, my big toe!) I’m afraid they’ll soon nibble my camera!

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

I’m a really big fan of “One Piece” (the most popular anime!) This story is about a lot of pirates who fight to plunder "One Piece” which is the story’s greatest treasure and whoever wins will be the Pirate King. In my imagination, I want to shoot Luffy, the pirate hero!

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

I’d choose “Once Opon Mood” which I loaded with Lomography Redscale XR 50-200 film. I love its grain, mood, tone and the movie’s weird colours. It made a romantic feeling!

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I want to be a short-film director, and make comedic movies. That is my long-term project. But first, I’ll try to use the LomoKino for doubles exporesure with other cameras. I think it will be fun! Ah yes, sure!

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

I recommend this page for some LomoKino inspiration!

Just always find inspiration and do what you love. Just shoot with your heart and you will get the best masterpiece that you want. LOMO ON!! :D

Do you have something to say about your LomoKino experience? Then drop me a line at and you might be our next LomoKino LomoAmigo!

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!
