..and you didn´t even notice
when the sky turned blue
and you couldn´t tell the difference
between me and you
and I nearly didn´t notice
the gentlest feeling
You are the bluest light (Bloc Party)
These lyrics just came into my mind when I was scanning the pictures you now see in front of you.
Just imagine that you are in Hannover!
For a lot of german people this is a crazy nightmare because they are thinking that Hannover is not hip enough compared to Berlin or Hamburg.
So, what are you doing to get rid of this terrible imagination? Right, you are trying to escape and you jump in the first train that you can catch! It is the Line S5 Direction Langenhagen / Airport. After a few stops you can hear a voice announcing: this is Hannover Nordstadt. You are looking out of the window and can barely believe your eyes….the whole train station is colored in the bluest light!
You are not thinking about your escape plans anymore, just get out of the train, take your Diana Mini (or your LCA, your Holga, your Diana or your supersampler) and start to capture all these blue lights.
If you read until here, then you should try to pay a visit to the city where vinyl records and the world famous Leibniz Cookies are invented and check out the Blue Station by yourself.
I don´t think its a secret spot because a lot of freetime photographers are doing shots here, fashion students are creating their sets and a lot of semiprofessional bands are posing for their newest CD but I tell you it´s worth at least a few rolls.
Sometime between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago, a boy in northern Afghanistan was born with a gene mutation that hindered his eyes from producing melanin and thus from turning brown. He had blue eyes. If you see someone with blue eyes today, he is a descendant of this unlucky fellow. I am one of those weird folks and apart from feeling like a mutant and being Angelina Jolie’s secret sister, I am sensitive to light like an ISO 6,400 film.
"Magical" here means that every time I use the Diana F+, the results are always beyond both my expectations and imagination. That's why I always use it when I feel like doing something different. It has never failed me since day one; I even always bring this camera during my trips!
It's time to get experimental With Lomography, Efke and Ilford Films! Transform your photographs into fascinating snapshots that evoke fantasy and magic. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of: green foliage becomes white, blue skies turn as dark as the night and purple colors taste sweet like candy dust.
What do you do when you don't have much time in a city like New York but you want to see everything, feel the vibe and be part of the community, even for a short time? Jump on a bike and enjoy what trains, buses and cabs can never give you: be part of the city. Take a camera with you to capture the moments and sights you don't want to forget. I did this with my LC-A 120 and LomoChrome Purple film.
When I held the Lomo LC-A 120 in my hands for the first time, I immediately noticed its good feel and beautiful design. The LC-A 120 obviously, is truly, related to the queen of all Lomo cameras, the LC-A.
When someone asks me why I love Burkina Faso so much and what's so special about it, I answer without any hesitation: the people. There's something in this country that connects the people together very strongly. Here, foreign visitors are warmly welcomed. And honestly, I think that the portraits I'm most proud of and that I really love are those shot in Burkina Faso. "Why," you ask?

Singapore, like Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, is a likely stopover when you fly far. The city is a tiny urbanized hub but it's very favorable if you know some high-spirited locals. I was lucky to hook up with king kimbo (@hakimbo), who showed me around. He took my lame limbs to the Gardens by the Bay, an amazing place which was visually striking. I was hugging some artificial trees there when I found a baby—a very big baby.
