Iligan is a quiet city. But everybody rocks on a Friday Night in Iliganon.
Iligan is a quiet city. But everybody rocks on a Friday Night in Iliganon. It is an ideal place where everybody can have fun and be sheltered from the stress of the life. In here you can find solitude in a coffee shop that serves the best beef rendang in Iligan. Its more quiet, and the air is cool. Conversations are mostly done in this place. The owner chatted with us. And told us of the challenges and joys of a Non-Muslim Woman being married to a Muslim man. It talks of breaking stereotypes and telling the whole world how love can conquer all!
If you are the rocker and dancer type, you can check out the outdoor bar, where the latest music is played and you can dance and heckle as loud as you want. Good times, young Iliganons version. And if you are the serious type, who wants to play poker with the boys, and some girls. The poker room is for you.
We ended the night being toured around the gimmick place. Now I know where to go to when caught up in Iligan again.
In prime areas of New York and San Francisco, the phrase ‘rush hour’ is always on the menu. Drive up to Reno, and the same expression fizzles. Many roads are framed by mountains and shrubbery, a picture of calm in the city. But the night makes up for the day’s stilly mood. Casinos flaunt LED signs and marquees, a treat for urban photographers.
In New York City, winter has been harsh and long, the nights long and cold, and shooting outside is not fun anymore. So when the Lomo'Instant Boston Edition hit the shelves this week and the new Splitzer arrived at the Lomography Gallery Store New York, we decided to do a round of light painting portraits instead of sunny ones.
Scott Brasher is a fashion street photographer based in New York City. His work has been featured on many media outlets while working with brands like Cover Girl, MTV, Reebok, and Target, among many others. But before this, Scott started shooting in the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, capturing its daily urban fashion. Last month, he took the Petzval Lens to the streets of New York to photograph scenes at the famous New York Fashion Week.
Common advice tells us that Tokyo is best experienced at night. The neon lights of Ginza come on, Shibuya Crossing gets crammed, Ropponggi lets loose. Reverse the advice and we’ll get something like a palate cleanser. The Imperial Palace, Shinjuku Gyoen and small parks peppered around the city offer relief, from morning until late afternoon. Even ordinary streets appeal to tourists. We suspect those secret ramen spots add to the charm.
Ian Hobson is a photographer based in the United Kingdom who specialises in light paintings. He recently tested the Lomo'Instant with his Pixelstick - an unbeatable light painting combo! Here are some of his amazing shots, as well as a few pointers on light painting and shooting at night.

For three months last year, I traveled to 11 cities of eight Southeast Asian countries. My first destination from my hometown of Seoul was Vietnam. After 10 days in Hanoi, I joined a group tour to Sapa, an area known for its hill tribes. This is a photo story of my two days and one night in this remote but vibrant place.
If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!
