The past year has been one full of cameras, films, and new experiences...but now that a new year has started, we have to do better!
A year has passed, an intense analog year and I barely remember how many times I used my digital camera. It’s a year in which this analog passion totally sank in me, for it’s * the real, pure photography*, one made with passion.
It’s been a year in which I took once again my hands in the darkroom for black and white developing. I started a new experience with the color film development but more importantly, I learned a lot of new things!
But this new year that has freshly started, what we can expect? Well, I thought of some good resolutions:
1. Photos, photos, more photos!
What better resolution than this? I want to take a lot of new photos!
2. *Try new films!
Well, it’s the desire of anyone who truly loves analog photography, but more than that, loves Lomography! Particularly, I want to try instant films. Why not?
3. Try new photography types!
There’s no photographer that never thought to learn something different from the unpredictable photography that Lomography entails. More than anything, I want to try studio photography: portrait and still life, but even long exposure and light painting!
4. Photographic projects!
Sooner or later comes the time we have to start something and accomplish it completely. I want to start at least one photographic project that is creative and surprising!
5. Make new friends!
What sense is there to create fantastic images if you don’t have anyone to share them with? I want to surround myself with a lot of people — inspiring people that also want to be inspired!
What else can I say, these are some of my resolutions for this year. I hope you enjoy reading about them but mostly, I hope they also inspire you to make something beautiful!
