Walasiteodito’s 2013 Analog Bucketlist : Fingers Crossed

Are you excited for what’s going to happen to your analog life this year? Well I am, very excited that I did set my bucket list as early as I possibly can. Bring it on 2013!

I can feel it already, I will be very busy when it comes to my analog life this year. I have set 6 goals to achieve, and hoped to accomplish all of it.

1. Perfekt Piggies

Shots by the famous icuresick

I have been eyeing on this camera for a year now. I know it will be a long way to the end of that road, but I know I can do it. Actually, I almost did last year, but I used up my piggies for the beautiful Belair Globetrotter so I have to start saving up again. But hey, I already have 78, and still waiting to be awarded some more so I am positive on this.

2. Travel at least five times this year

I got to have major travels at least 3 times last year, too seldom I say. But, I am still lucky, that even in my busy schedule I was given some opportunities to travel for free, thanks to my job. And hey, I am scheduled to go to Hong Kong this January, so only 4 to go!

3. More FOT shoots

With the help of my two beautiful friends Pia and Stef, I gathered quite some number of likes from the community. “FOT (Friends of Teo) Shoot” as my friends call it. Luckily, my models pose for free, so expect more FOT shoot this year!

4. An exhibit

I already have some plans for this, I want to experiment on concepts and a few post processings, and I want to show it to people, not just online but to also to show it hopefully in a gallery. I have my fingers crossed for this one.

5. Lenses for my Pentax

My Pentax K1000 is one of my favorite cameras to use, it never fails me. It is one of my most trusted cameras, so I think it is only fair to buy him some additional lenses, wider ones. I have been very vigilant for a while now, waiting for a cheap 28 or 35mm lens. With a bit of patience I think I will be lucky to come across one this year.

6. I saw the zine

I think this will be my hardest goal this year, for this will need a huge amount of time and effort, and a bit of money too. I really want to publish a zine of at least 100 copies, with some of my photographs and poems inside. Even though this is my hardest objective this year, I am quite excited. I also have my fingers crossed on this one.

7. My own processing

I’m just inches away from completing the items needed to process my own black and white films. I have actually tried it thanks to the help of projectsnap. I am really excited to do it on my own, and also to try the C41 process. As soon as a got used to the black and white process, I will sure try to level up and give C41 a go.

Whew! I can already feel the busy-ness of this year. Lets do this 2013!

* fingers crossed *

Oh and I almost forgot, HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

My Analogue Bucket List: Faster Than a Speeding Cannonball

The new year is still young, but it seems as if it'll be over quickly. My organizer is already filled with entries until June. 2015 will probably be worse than 2014 when it comes to having time off so I could take some analogue shots. Anyway, there are some photography-related things that I really want to get done. It is probably best to set some goals if I only have very limited time.

    Finally, My Own Petzval Lens

In April of this year I had the chance to test the Petzval Lens and to write a review on it for the German photography forum Kwerfeldein. The lens excited me from the very beginning, at the time it was introduced on Kickstarter. I was afraid that once I had tested the lens, I would want to have one of my own! Well, that’s what happened; a year later, I finally bought my very own Petzval lens.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

    Chemical Manipulations with the Lomo’Instant

Perhaps you’ve already had chance to try light painting, multiple exposures and long exposures with your Lomo’Instant, but what can you experiment with next? Well, that’s exactly the thought I had which led to giving this Tipster a go. I wanted to shoot Lomo’Instant photos which felt a bit “messier” than what I’m usually used to and to use a technique which would open up new possibilities with the kinds of images I could create with my favorite instant camera. Well, here I go!

    Analog By Nature

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.

My 2015 resolution is to do 12 photography projects, one for every month. In August, cyanotpes were on the roll. A cyanotype is an old-fashioned contact print made under the sun.
