And what a great way to celebrate Christmas by giving you a Holiday LomoAmigo who aside from taking terrific Lomographs, is also blissfully in love! Come and read more from sobetion, our December 25 Holiday LomoAmigo!
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?
Sawaddee krab! (It means “hello” from Thailand!) My name is Mickey, I am from Bangkok, Thailand. The city which is very hot weather in Asia. I love playung music and "sobetion” is the name of my band. What does “sobetion” mean? Well, I don’t know. Haha!
.How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?’
Since 2011 when I’ve discovered double exposures and weird-colored pictures from this Community. I was reading a lot about doubles technique picture which I often saw here in Lomography. The photos from the Community are my inspiration. And my first camera, the Diana Mini just flew into my hands and I love it.
What are your plans for the holidays?
I wanna go to Krabi with my girlfriend. I’d love love love love to shoot my girl and drink beer on the beach. And diving on Koh Phi Phi with the LC-A+! These are paradise in my life. :)
Any New Year’s resolutions for 2013?
I’ll do film swaps with Lomographer around the world. Each person has a different view point, different culture and different imagination which we can mix in one picture! It’s really COOL! And also have new friends from the Lomo Community! :D
If you could recommend one movie and one song to everyone, what would they be?
I love jazz, I always listen to jazz when I’m finding inspiration. Christmas is coming soon so I recommend:
Christmas in Love – Katie Pacific
What’s your favorite analogue camera to shoot with? Why?
My favorite camera is the LC-A+ because I like the features; it has an automatic exposure and enhanced ASA settings. It can make perfect doubles from my imagination. (And my friend’s imagination!) Easy to carry is also important. It’s my fantastic camera! :)
What’s the next camera you’d like to get your hands on?
I choose the LC-Wide which I will own soon. I want to make doubles with friends using the LC-Wide. Doubles on square format! Cool!
What’s your favorite memory from this year?
I was impressed to make quadruples with 134340, ohoska and dakadev_pui. (They are the best and very talented Lomographers from Thailand!) We are planning to make one again next year. It’s always FUN!! :)
And now for the toughest question – What’s been your favorite photo from the past year? Why?
I’d choose “Bangkok Inception.” This photo is my favorite self-portrait. It was taken without expectations. It makes me feel that I have dominated the world.
Any holiday shout-outs or tips for your fellow Lomographers?
If you love Lomography, you must always find inspiration and do what you love. Just shoot by your heart and you will get the best masterpiece that you want. LOMO ON!! :D
