Exposed the Redscale XR on Fuji Natura Classica

8

Fuji Natura Classica is a DX-coded camera. That’s mean you can’t choose the ISO setting that you prefer. Everything is just fully automated since a DX-coded film insert into the camera. Try expose differently on the Redscale XR.

Lomography Redscale XR is coded as ISO 100. This film shows more yellow color if the film exposed at ISO 50 or 25. But since Lomography Redscale XR is coded as ISO 100, Fuji Natura Classica only reads it as ISO 100 and exposes it as ISO 100. So, how to expose it at higher ISO?

This is the film.

This is DX-code that coded the film as ISO 100.

Press the menu, and go to selection of exposure, you will see a number 0. That’s mean the film will exposed correctly. You will have selection of -2.0, -1.5, -1.0, -0.5, 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0. With 1.0, means that the film will exposed in EV +1, higher exposure. With -1.0, means that the film will exposed in EV -1, lower exposure.

To make it simple, select 2.0 will exposed the film as ISO 25, select 1.0 will exposed the film as ISO 50, while select -1.0 will exposed the film as ISO 200.

Good article. Many people do not know about + or - setting on their cameras. Many automatic cameras have this feature. It also can be used when using a filter.
