Lift Your Feet Up!
206 18 Share TweetWinter time? Don’t worry! Lift your feet up to the sky and imagine a a beautiful beach, a lovely sea, a towel on the warm sand while the sun gently warms you. Although winter is still long and summer is still far away, enjoy these beautiful summer photos, solar and cheeky!
The idea to write this article came to me when I saw a random home in Lomography, where I found this beautiful photograph, taken with a nice ActionSampler. This was the starting point of this article!
I like photos of feet; they are for me an intimate and almost “childish” subjects that always inspire tenderness to me. I always associate the photo of bare feet with a great sense of freedom! I love to stay barefoot in the summer season!
All these feet photographed against a blue sky remind me of the last beautiful summer. They give me the desire to get on a plane and go to Australia to enjoy another summer season!
Living barefoot, for me, is a return to childhood and intimate contact with nature. It’s a wonderful tactile as well as psychological experience!
All these photos were selected from among those which are tagged “feet” and “legs.” I found so many good pictures, but I selected only those of the feet photographed in the sky!
It is often said that in the absence of creative inspiration or at times of low artistic talent, many people take photographs of their feet. I personally think that this is not always the case. I think that they are a beautiful part of the human body, and that we often wish to photograph our feet by giving them the space they deserve. After all it is thanks to our feet that we can walk to take pictures! When we are photographing our bare feet, we want to show to the world our desire for freedom! Besides, in this article you will find some examples of Lomographic experimentation on the subject (multiple exposures, photos taken with multilens cameras, vignetting effect). Surely, it’s not the lack of creativity which has led to take these great pictures!
But now, it’s almost winter, and there are still many months before the next summer. Well, if we cannot enjoy the beautiful feeling of being barefoot outdoors, we need just a little fantasy. Even in pajamas, without socks, we can raise up our legs, and close our eyes — we can try to dream of warm seas and wonderful beaches!
Lift your feet up! Enjoy your freedom!
