Up for bidding next week are three photos of the "heroin chic" supermodel from her very first sitting back in 1988. Then 14-year-old Kate Moss was photographed in beautiful black-and-white by David Ross, and Bloomsbury Auctions expects the images to go for up to £1200 each!
Before all the glossy covers, grunge romances, designer runways, and drug scandals, there were these immaculate monochrome photos of a teenage Kate Moss during her first sitting in October 1988. Photographer David Ross took these soon after Moss was discovered at the John F. Kennedy airport in New York en route from her Bahamas vacation.
“She wasn’t trying to prove anything or act above her station,” photographer David Ross told The Telegraph of the sitting. “She was untarnished. A blank canvas, as other writers have put it.” (TIME)
