When you open this first Holy Sexy Bastards’ album (and you know something about film) you’ll understand where these pink pictures came from; it’s Kodak Aerochrome meeting a garage rock band!
Holy Sexy Bastards is a new garage rock band from Valencia, Venezuela; they decided to give their first album that vintage yet interesting look by using Kodak EIR Aerochrome infrared film, along with an illustration on cover that FUCKMYCELLS did for them.
Pictures for this art were taken in a very sunny morning by Gunther Moreno, former photographer of the band. He took a Yashica MAT, two rolls of color infrared film and, of course, an orange filter. The location? We were heading to this forgotten railway track in Valencia, and after setting up some things, shooting started!
The main pictures for album art and promotion!
Holy Sexy Bastards is comprised of Andrés Puche (guitar and voice), Itza Loprieno (drums), and Luiscar Henriquez (bass), their principal influences are from classic rock to grunge and garage bands like: The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Radiohead, Kashmir, Nirvana, Temple of the Dog, The Gories, and The White Stripes.
The showcase of the new album happened on July 6th. Here are some photos from that event, along with other lomographs from past gigs!
